Allan Tomas Ora, CEO and Founder - A highly accomplished global insurance executive with 18 years experience in the international and domestic HNW marketplace. Before creating Sovereign Wealth Group, Allan was the Executive Vice President for Global Planning Group where he led and provided strategic sales and distribution direction for a start-up offshore and U.S. foreign national insurance producer group. Prior to joining Global Planning Group, Allan was the Head of Sales and Distribution for International Markets at Transamerica Life Bermuda, residing in Bermuda.
He has worked with countless global private bankers and advisors, international CPA firms and tax attorneys, including family offices who manage the assets of the world’s wealthiest individuals, families and businesses across 30 countries.
With an in-depth understanding of affluent global mobility and client concerns, Allan’s experience has and remains an adaptable yet holistic approach to cross-border, multinational insurance planning. Allan has a deep understanding of the links between his clients personal and professional lives, their desires, needs, multiple residencies, regulatory practices, solicitation and cultural differences whereby he structures a range of sophisticated global insurance solutions for them. Allan also sits on the Board of FPA (Financial Professional Association) of the Palm Beaches where he helps lead and grow the Chapter's advocacy and support in the financial planning process.
Jason Lohe, President - Outside of his role as President of SWG, Jason is the CEO of Safeguard Financial and Insurance Services. Mr. Lohe has a wide and well-rounded resume in the world of professional sports and finance. Jason was previously a Registered Player Financial Advisor with the National Football League Players Association. Prior to founding Safeguard Financial, Jason worked for Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor specializing in equity collars and has also worked for JP Morgan Chase. He holds California Life, Health, Disability and Property and Casualty Insurance licenses.
From 2011 to 2012, Jason was the Majority Owner of a professional Arena Football League team in San Antonio, Texas, which he co-owned with William Yuan, Chairman of SWG. Jason previously worked under Michael Jordan at the Michael Jordan Flight School, worked in the front office for the original San Jose Clash/Earthquakes, a Major League Soccer franchise, during its early years in the 1990s, and has also worked in the front office for the Oakland A’s Baseball team and for Octagon Football Sports Agency.
Jason’s current focus remains in the sports and investment world, and as President of SWG, Jason will expand his practice and reach globally. Over the years, he has helped sports franchise owners find partners for their ownership groups, and he continues to be a conduit for deal flow in MES (Media, Entertainment, Sports). Jason currently resides in San Ramon, CA with his wife Misty, and daughters Kaitlyn and Lauren.
William Yuan, Chairman - Mr. Yuan is also the Chairman of Fortress Hill Group (a mixed-staged venture capital and investment holdings company) and Fortress Holdings Group and acts as Chairman overseeing a joint venture partnership with CITIC Securities in China.
Mr. Yuan began his finance career at Goldman Sachs as an investment banker in Mergers & Acquisitions, after attending Cornell University and Harvard University’s JFK School of Economics and Government as a Mason Fellow. He then served as a Senior Vice President and Co-Manager at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Portfolio Management Corporation with dual functions as co-head of the Capital Markets Derivative team, and the Chairman of the Technology Investment Management and Executive Policy Committee. Mr. Yuan then became the Founder and Managing Director of the Corporate Institutional Services Group at Merrill Lynch Asset Management. He was the Head of Merrill Lynch Asset Management Asia, and the Chairman of Merrill Lynch Global Asset Allocation Committee, which in totality had nearly half-trillion dollars under management. Simultaneously, Mr. Yaun was the Chief Investment Officer / Portfolio Manager of the $1.2 Billion AmerAsia Hedge Fund domiciled in Asia with special emphasis on technology, media, entertainment and telecom (TMT).
After attaining over 20 years of experience on Wall Street in all aspects of finance including sell side, capital markets, buy side, venture/private equity, and buy-outs, Mr. Yuan has amassed excellent relations with institutional, venture capital, global private equity, and hedge funds. Along with his financial dealings, he currently focuses on Media / Entertainment / Sports (MES). On the sports side, he packages, structures and funds the investment into MLB / NBA/ NFL sports teams.
Mr. Yuan independently; advises major Chinese institutions such as CITIC Securities and China Merchants Group. Mr. Yuan advises such institutions on viable investment and acquisition opportunities, capital structure and deployment. Post-capital deployment, he assists major asset management firms manage and maintain their investments to a sizable exit.
Under Mr. Yuan’s leadership, Sovereign Wealth Group is undergoing accelerated growth throughout all of Asia. Mr. Yuan continues to leverage his global relationships with top-tier investment banks, private equity firms, venture capital groups and hedge fund managers in order to lead Sovereign Wealth Group’s bespoke insurance and risk management services to global HNW, affluent business owners and families throughout Asia and abroad.
Mathias Hug, Executive Vice President of Sales, LatAm and Global Markets – Born in Switzerland, Mr. Hug is a second generation of insurance professionals and is passionate about its human interaction and aptitude to create, manage and develop wealth within a multitude of aspects.
His experience and insight comes from 12 years in the luxury industry - developing products, teams and HNI portfolios - with the pragmatism of five years in the wealth, asset management, insurance and real-estate management industry. Mr. Hug has worked and lived in Europe, North Africa, Middle-East, Central Asia and South East Asia.In the insurance and financial sector, Mathias worked mainly with the Allianz Group and specialized on asset management, pension funds and top-level planning, life insurance, corporate insurances and fine art and jewelry risk management solutions.
Mathias Hug is also a member of the Million Dollar Round Table and teaches about the Swiss Insurance and Social System at the Geneva Business School in Switzerland. Mr. Hug focuses on finding the best possible solutions for businesses and high net-worth individuals in order to secure and preserve their assets, achieve their financial goals and consolidate their future and the generations to come.

Nei uses his cross-border, insurance product and jurisdictional knowledge to provide the most up to date, simplistic and/or heady estate planning advice to his clients among various, comprehensive spectrum of advanced planning products and services in areas including insurance, retirement, business succession, estate analysis and executive/employee group benefits.
In addition to serving and growing his US personal client base, Nei is very active within the South Florida Brazilian community, where he focuses on helping cross-border individuals, families and business owners achieve financial independence. Nei focuses his insurance practice solutions specifically to cross-border wealth preservation, asset protection and legacy planning. Natalia, is the Founder and Managing Member of SGG World LLC, a strategic consulting firm established in 2006 to utilize her and her family’s (Sokol Family Office) relationships to build a strategic consulting firm. Operating out of NYC she has built impressive relationships within the US investment community. She travels extensively to Europe, Russia, Middle East and Asia where she continues to establish strong ties to the local networks of UHNW, HNW and Family Offices. Leo Chan, is the Asia Advisor for Sovereign Wealth Group. He is directly responsible for the sales and business development throughout the Asia Pacific region. Leo is an accomplished multicultural cross boarder executive. He has worked in the U.S., China and Europe. Mr. Chan has experience with Fortune 500 companies in the fields of technology and banking. Mr. Chan specializes in financial advisory and private equity investments. He has extensive experience in commercial banking, private equity, and business administration.
Mr. Chan participated in the management of foreign direct investments into China’s mobile telecom network. He co-founded technology startups in the United States and participated in an acquisition of an incumbent local exchange operator.
Prior to his current position, he was Managing Director of TCL Capital (a RMB fund management company), Managing Director and CEO of Virgo Capital Holdings (a boutique merchant bank), and Managing Partner of Virgo Partners (an offshore investment company). Mr. Chan holds a master degree in business administration (MBA) from University of Cincinnati and is a BVQI certified ISO 9002 Lead Auditor. Leo speaks fluent English and Chinese. Leo is currently based in Shenzhen, China.
